Yesterday, a screener for The Dark Knight leaked all over the interwebs, so the entire world has officially enjoyed Chris Nolan’s Batman sequel. Nevertheless, let me whisper “SPOILER ALERT” in your ear like a geeky Craig Mack. In a couple of new interviews, co-star Aaron Eckhart has revealed the ultimate fate of Harvey Dent and Two-Face per the ending to TDK and this second sequel we love to speculate about… “[My character is] dead. I ...

In a recent interview with EOnline, Dan Aykroyd was asked about the status of Ghostbusters 3. Aykroyd responded: Well, y’know, two sharp young writers are purported to be writing the sequel, the third movie now. If I could interest Seth [Rogen] and Judd [Apatow] to be part of it, that would be an absolute dream. Given Aykroyd’s relationship with the franchise, it’s nearly impossible that he wouldn’t know for certain exactly what is going on ...

After crafting the critically acclaimed Paranoid Park, director Gus Van Sant now seems poised to follow it up with yet another audacious and powerful film. The trailer for Van Sant’s Milk debuted on Apple today and it masterfully sets up some of the main conflicts of the film (namely, the social climate in the late 1970s, Harvey Milk’s conflict with city supervisor Dan White, and the threats to Milk’s life). The trailer also gives us ...

A couple months ago, mention of a live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature film was posted on the Playmate toys website, only to be quickly removed hours later. Fans wrote it off as a mistake, but as it turns out - it is true. Kevin Eastman, the co-creator of the Turtle franchise posted the following on the Heavy Metal forum: “Yes, it is true. Although the CGI film did well enough to warrant a ...

I never had an electronic remote control racing set as a kid, but if I did, I probably would have loved this one. The Dark Knight Remote Control Electronic Slot Car Racing Set includes 2 three-speed controllers, The Tumbler, and a Police car. Wait, where is The Joker’s 18-Wheeler? And it would be cooler if there were a setting to have the Tumbler break apart to reveal a Batpod underneath. Am I asking for too ...

The reason why Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler has the un-popular position of closing the Venice Film Festival, is because the film is waiting on a new song written and performed by Bruce Springsteen. The song was written for the closing credits and is also titled The Wrestler. Aronofsky calls the song “beautiful” … “wonderful acoustic piece”. “Makes me choke up every time i hear it,” Aronofsky writes on his blog. “He really captured the spirit ...

The Dark Knight surpassed the $500 million mark early Sunday morning, which is a new record, as no film has ever accomplished this particular feat in just 45 days. It probably helps that only one other film has even accomplished that feat. Titanic hit $500 million in 91 days. Industry Analysts still predict a $520-$535 million domestic total, which would be $60 plus million shy of Titanic’s $600.8 million record. Related Stories Johnny Depp on ...

We’ve seen R2-D2 Projectors, and R2-D2 Ice Buckets, but how about an R2-D2 mini-fridge? Geekalerts found an awesome R2-D2 compact refrigerator which was created in 2002 as a promotional prize for Attack of the Clones. Apparently only 1,000 of these guys were produced for the 7-11 promotion, so it isn’t the easiest item to find. ToyEast is selling one for a whopping $1070. Ouch. I wonder why George Lucas hasn’t created an officially licensed version ...

With Wanted being a huge success this summer, it’s no surprise that Mark Millar is already talking plans for more sequels to the film. What’s interesting is that Millar has pretty much given up the comic book continuity of the series. In an interview with Newsarama, Millar discusses his complete disinterest in a comic follow-up to his original books: “I’ve got this reputation of being a total whore, and even when I’m adamant about something ...

Here are some highlights from that conversation: Fincher admitted that much of his early years discovering ...

On the newly posted After Dark show, a /Film fan wrote in detesting MGM’s planned Poltergeist remake. Not only did this topic snowball into the most tasteless Heather O’Rourke/pizza joke imaginable, we also contemplated whether the project qualifies as the first remake of a Steven Spielberg movie. And if so, is Jaws within reach? The freaky 1982 supernatural classic was officially helmed by Tobe Hooper, sure, but Spielberg’s directorial contribution remains a point of contention ...
