This house should probably be called the “Barragán Fountain House” considering all the attention it has received because of the fountain on the property, which just happens to have been designed by the famous Mexican architect Luis Barragán. The LA Times wrote a whole article about it - here, and the City of Los Angeles has declared the fountain to be a Historic Cultural Monument, but besides the fountain, there’s a 4 bedroom/4.5 bathroom house ...

Folding screens (that occasionally useful piece of furniture, and classic movie prop) get a dab of 21st Century tech with the DID-FS from Daewoo. The old-fashioned wooden frame is there, but supplemented by four LCD widescreens, mounted vertically. That leaves you free to choose what pictures you're using to break up your living space into themes. It'll probably leave you with an empty wallet too, given current LCD prices for displays that big, but there's ...

Months ago, I added Shawna’s wallpapered stair risers to my inspiration files, thinking that something like this would be a great way to bring pattern into my hallway—and to use up some of the leftover Bindweed wallpaper from my bathroom renovation. And then, in the midst of a million other house projects, I kind of forgot about it. Just a few minutes ago, though, I was taking a look at Ferm Living’s Clever Spaces blog, ...

Ashwin Madia is a young attorney, Iraq War veteran, and Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in Minnesota's Third District, currently held by the retiring Republican Jim Ramstad. Running a grassroots campaign with an army of 400 volunteers, Madia became the Democratic nominee, and has since become one of the highest-profile Democratic candidates in the country, having ...

They build custom tree houses all over the world, although mostly ...
