This Star Wars Landspeeder is a full-sized, drivable, Jedi-approved replica built by Daniel Deutsch, who designed his version from the ground up. Neatorama dug up this 1:1 scale speeder, which has a custom aluminum chassis, fiberglass body, and an electric drive system that hits lightspeed at 25 mph (UPDATED: with gallery). The art detail is also pretty amazing (and reeks of authenticity), with body work and fake damage consistent with the landspeeder in the film. ...

Why is Jason Statham so angry in this new Crank 2: High Voltage set picture? Probably because an evil mobster cut out his heart and replaced it with a machine, and now he has to shock himself every few minutes. "High voltage is an understatement," he said about the movie. "They locked themselves in a room for three days with five bottles of tequila and wrote the most offensive, outrageous script I've ever read." Click ...

Courtesy of Facebook Aaron Sorkin, a man whose discomfort with the Internet goes way, way back to the days he got angry at the Television Without Pity message boards, is writing a movie about the founding of Facebook. Sorkin has created a Facebook group for "Aaron Sorkin & the Facebook Movie" on which Sorkin (or is it his assistant?) (or is it someone pretending to be his assistant?) writes: I've just agreed to write a ...

The traditional role of a dads in America is that of being the provider. According to the U.S. Census Bureau (2004), 73% of men above the age of 16 participated in the work force compared to 59% of women. Over the past few years though, the number of at-home dads has risen from 98,000 in 2004 to 159,000 in 2007. Change is happening, and people are definitely taking notice. One such person is Dana Glazer, ...

p2pnet news view | Movies:- Unlikely as it may seem, Sony seems hell-bent on getting back into the DRM business. And many (most?) of the big Hollywood studios are apparently playing along. DRM —- Digital Restrictions Management consumer control —- has never worked, and it never will. It can’t. Because if you can see it or hear it, you can copy it and DRM has been all-but dropped by even its most ardent supports, the ...

As you may have heard, some legal battles have arisen involving the much-anticipated movie adaptation of the comic book, Watchmen. So what's really going on? Well, basically, a federal judge has granted Fox permission to take Warner Bros. to court for not gaining Fox's permission to make Watchmen in the first place. Fox has apparently has held the rights to make a Watchmen movie for 22 years with no luck actually making it themselves. Warner ...

Let me separate comic Joel from real life Joel for a minute and state that I am VERY enthusiastic about “Watchmen” movie and I’m sure it will kick all sorts of kickassery. It just makes for better funny-ha-ha in the comic when I hate ...

In what might have been a moment of collective wishful thinking, it seems that all of the recent rumors about Fox trying quietly to kill the live-action movie version of Dragonball were just that: rumors. Doesn't anyone realize how important it is that we stop James Marsters before he hits the big screen? Film Junk first reported the rumor last week: According to our tipster, the higher-ups at Fox are not too impressed the footage ...
