高機能なCMS、Concrete5の優秀さはあえて語るまでもないだろう。その開発者たちは、他にも幾つかオープンソースのプロジェクトを立ち上げている。あのCMSを開発した彼らの作るオープンソース・ソフトウェア…それだけで期待が高まってしまう。 修正したい場所を指定する ごく簡単なDBを使わない、HTMLベースのWebサイトを運営する際にちょっとした修正をリモートで行えるのがeditApageだ。 editApageはGPLライセンスの下で〜、と謳われているがコードの販売を禁じているので正確にはオープンソース・ソフトウェアではないようなのでご注意いただきたい。なお、コードの利用法（サポート等だろうか）について販売を行うことは許可されている。 editApageはPHPで作られたWebアプリケーションで、ユーザ登録を行い外部のWebサイトのデータを取ってくる所から開始する。そしてそこにeditApage専用の枠を埋め込む。これはテキストエリアになっている。 テンプレート機能も備えている 後はテキストエリアを使って自由にサイトを修正できる。終わったらFTPを使ってeditApage上からファイルをアップロードできる。シンプルに言えばこのような手順でサイトを更新するというものだ。 動作はFirefoxで確認しており、Safariではうまく動作しなかった。また、日本語のWebサイトのデータを取ってくるとデータが文字化けしてしまうようなのでご注意いただきたい。 なぜかテキストエリアの範囲のみ修正可能というのが残念ではある。が、例えば更新時のメッセージを表示している場合や、ニュースなどをアップデートする場合など小さな修正を行うのに便利だ。同様の概念はCushycmsでもみられる。HTMLさえ修正できれば良いので、全体をFCKEditor化してしまえばサイトの修正もできてしまう。ちょっとした改造で一気に便利になる可能性があるソフトウェアだ。 EditAPage :: Welcome http://www.editap... 流動性知能を高める「Brain Workshop」 (1)
on流動性知能というのは、新しい状況への適応や、これまでに出会ったことのない問題への対処をする際に用いられる能力のことだ（via WIRED VISION）。ルーティーンをこなすのは早くとも、新しい問題や状況の変化に対してうまく対処できないという人はこの流動性知能を高めることでうまく対応できるようになるようだ。 脳を楽しく鍛えよう！ だがこれまで流動性知能は遺伝的なもので、トレーニングできないものだと考えられてきた。だが研究によりトレーニングによって向上できる可能性があるとのこと。それを実現してくれるのがBrain Workshopだ。 Brain WorkshopはPythonで作られたソフトウェアで、WindowsやMac OSX、Linuxで動作する。 Brain Workshopの操作方法は簡単だ。3×3のマス目の中で、青いマークがどこかで光り、そしてアルファベットが一つ読み上げられる。そしてちょっと間を空けて別なマス目が光り（同じかも知れない）、別なアルファベットが読み上げられる（同じかも知れない）。 トレーニング中の画面 その時、光った場所が同じならAキー（position match）を押し、アルファベットが同じならLキー（sound match）を押す。両方同じならA/Lキーを両方押す。これを繰り返していくのだ。一日25分程度の訓練を続けることで効果が出てくるとのこと。 ちなみに上記の場合はデフォルトのDual 2 Backだ。さらにトリプルもある。つまり2つ前の状態を記憶しつつ、ボタンを押していくのだ。これはなかなか難しいだろう。他にもモードが色々があるようなので、デフォルトからはじめて徐々にレベルをあげてみると良いだろう。 ゲーム感覚で自分の能力が上がるならこんなに良いことはないだろう。流動性知能を鍛えたいと思う方はもちろん、さらに磨きをかけたいという方にもぜひチャレンジして欲しいソフトウェアだ。 Brain Workshop - a Dual N-Back game http://brainworks... onWindowsには標準でペイントというお絵描きソフトウェアがありますが、Mac OSXにはそのようなソフトウェアがありません。過去においては秀逸なMacPaintがあっただけに残念でもあります。 ごくシンプルなペイントソフトウェア しかし嘆くことはありません。なければ既に作られているソフトウェアを探せば良いのです。ごく単純な機能のものをお探しならiPaintをどうぞ。 iPaintはSourceForge上で公開されている、GPLのソフトウェアになります。 iPaintで提供されている機能は多くありません。まさにWindowsのペイントをMac OSX風にしたらこうなるだろうと思わせるソフトウェアです。画像を作成するウィンドウとパレットが分かれて提供されています。 こんな感じで描けます 自由に線を引ける鉛筆機能、消しゴム、画像の一部を切り抜いたり移動したりする機能、フォント、塗りつぶし、直線そしてベジュ曲線の機能もあります。ベジュ曲線は三点までしか対応していませんが…。他に四角や円を描く機能もあります。 四角や円はシフトキーを押せば正方形、真円になります。直線もシフトキーを押せば45度ずつの角度になって引かれます。画像はPNG/JPEG/GIF/BMP/TIFFで保存が可能です。レイヤーやモザイクなどの高度な画像編集機能はありません。 高度な機能はありませんが、必要最低限の機能はあります。ちょっとした作業であれば十分ということもあるかも知れません。他にはpowerdrawのようにiPaintだけで信じられない絵を描いて世間の度肝を抜く…なんてこともできるかも知れません。 via iPaint [ Free Mac Software ] iPaint http://ipaint.sou... onWeb2.0が声高に騒がれていた時に注目を集めたキーワードが「共有」だった。ソーシャル○○とついたサービスが様々に乱立していた。だが、情報は個人よりもグループで収集、共有した方が便利なのは確かだ。 ソーシャルな情報を一元化 ある区切りをもった情報を蓄積するのに便利なプラットフォームとしてこちらを紹介しよう。 今回紹介するオープンソース・ソフトウェアはsux0r、情報収集プラットフォームだ。 sux0rはブックマーク、フィード、写真そしてブログと言った情報を蓄積することができる。例えば釣りに関する情報だけを蓄積したり、キャンプ情報やある技術に限った情報を蓄積、共有していくのに便利そうだ。 日本語も読める PHPで開発されており、MySQLまたはPostgreSQLで動作する。ログインは独自またはOpenIDに対応している。1ユーザに対して複数のOpenIDを紐づけられるのが変わっていて便利だ。 データはベイジアンフィルタを使ってカテゴライズされる点も興味深い。ブックマーク、フィード、写真やブログとそれぞれ代表するWebサービスが存在するが、それらをまとめることで新たな価値が生まれるかも知れない。 Sux0r http://www.sux0r.... For SMS 2003 SP2 and earlier, there were popular downloads available for what were known as "the Monster Mof". They were great, but in my opinion could be bloated. For example, it would contain edits for 3 different anti-virus vendors. Most companies usually only had 1, or if they were really diverse, possibly 2. One of the more interesting mash-ups we've seen in a while, "Tokyo-jogging" lets you run wild through the streets of Tokyo with your Wiimote tapped into Google Maps' Street View.
