A quick post today due to a heavy workload, but I had to mention one of the most interesting visualisations of Twitter I’ve seen in a while at Twitter StreamGraphs. It’s a third party creation which either lets you see the last 200 tweets containing a search term, or the last 200 tweets by a username. It’s useful, and it looks great….it’s been created by Jeff Clark, who also created TwitterArcs and TwitterSpectrum.

The previous article in this series discussed the use of Prototype to build a simple cheminformatics model. But there's much more to Prototype than an improved class-like syntax. This article discusses one specific way that Prototype enhances JavaScript collections through iterators. The Problem Let's say we have an instance of Molecule, as defined in the previous article, and we'd like to group the carbon atoms separately from the heteroatoms. In many languages, including Java, we'd ...

Yesterday I made a few comments in Twitter that prompted a fair amount of questions and requests for more information. The quips I made were about the differences between Web 2.0 (yes, an ambiguous term) and Enterprise 2.0 (equally ambiguous term both for the definition of enterprise and the 2.0 bit). My comments were in response to Bruce Stewart's comment The whole "Enterprise 2.0" schtick is wearing thin, unless you've been monitoring real results. Otherwise ...

Just read Jon Udell's post on SQL Server Data Services (SSDS) here. Happy to hear that Jon was able to explore SSDS with cURL "within minutes of cracking open the SSDS documentation". Readers who are wondering what Jon is talking about, should read Jeff Currier, one of the guys writing real code that we ship in SSDS, talking about using cURL to explore SSDS here. When few of us crazies started thinking of SSDS, a ...
