InSeason makes getting real local food in Boston less annoying (1)
on Bostonist (8) permalinkProblems with getting real "local" food in Boston: a) Most people with jobs can't get to the local farmer's market before it closes at 5pm or 6pm b) Whole Foods is expensive and doesn't have 100% local stuff, and sometimes you can't tell which is which c) Other "mystery" delivery methods which aim to support local and/or organic, such as Community Supported Agriculture programs and grocery delivery services like Boston Organics, don't let you choose ...Shared by adstew (22)Contribute comment

U.S. Elections: Obama and McCain Start Sharing in Google Reader (20)
on ReadWriteWeb (4107) permalinkGoogle today announced that it has signed up the Obama and McCain campaigns to share blog posts and news items they read on Google Reader. This program, called Power Readers in Politics also includes items shared by a number of high-profile journalists. While neither Google nor the campaigns pretend that the candidates themselves do any of the sharing (McCain doesn't know how to use a computer, after all), this is an interesting experiment and might ...Shared by adstew (22) AJ (719) avg (73) Dan (74) Dedalus (42) iAlja (101) J. New Live National - "A Thousand Black Cities" (1)
on stereogum (24) permalinkThe National performed a new post-Boxer song called "A Thousand Black Cities" at Vega in Copenhagen last night. Ominous. The Danish crowd seems to dig it, especially the girl who's laughing near the camera for the duration. Introducing: The Company Blog Checkup Top 10! (4)

Death of Trends? (2)
on PSFK (168) permalinkAre we witnessing the end of trends? The JC Report has some interesting thoughts on what constitutes a trend in today’s world. Although labeling this development as a “death” is extreme, they do bring up a relevant point. What’s really going on here (in fashion, and in general) is that instead ...Shared by adstew (22) Gauravonomics (158)Contribute comment
