Scrapy – Trac (58)

Hacker News (3089) permalink
Scrapy is built up on Twisted, a python platform for the developing of network applications in an asynchronous (non-blocking) approach. This means that, while running in a single thread, a Scrapy application does not block while waiting data arrival from the network. Instead, it continues to process any task that requires CPU attention. Then, when data arrives, a callback function is called with this data as parameter. This is why this kind of code is ...Shared by Aaron Raddon (7) afroginthevalley (37) Aidan Finn (0) Akky AKIMOTO (3) Alex Barredo (0) Andrew (2) Andy Lien (1) ani625 (270) arjun (6) Azharuddin (0) Brett Hoerner (3) Breyten (24) Bryan Davis (7) btw0 (4) Can Özmen (19) Damon (50) Dave Jeffery (1) Derrik (53) djworth (36) dragan gajic (77) Drew Perttula (11) durbin (7) Ertuğ Karamatlı (6) Fabio (153) fbrunel (8) George Arnaoutoglou (79) Ilya Grigorik (16) J. I'm Simone Brunozzi, technology evangelist for Amazon Web Services in Europe. This period of the year I decided to dedicate some time to better understand how our customers use AWS, therefore I spent some online time with Stefan Fountain and the nice guys at Soocial.com, a "one address book solution to contact management", and I would like to share with you some details of their IT infrastructure, which now runs 100% on Amazon Web Services! In ...Shared by 晓江 (28) Alan Dean (112) ali1k (17) Anand Sharma (29) Andreas (5) arjun (6) bbbush (60) Brent Ozar (30) Cameron Hunt (38) CesarS (19) cheewu (20) Chris K (33) Chris Kelly (38) Colin Steele (0) D-Arb (17) David Noble (0) Dedric "That One" Lam (16) Derek Kaczmarczyk (2) Evan Sims (31) Furqan (25) Golds (39) Greg (30) guttertec (33) Hellblazer (17) hoberion (26) Ivan Labra (19) Ivan Stegic (1) Jacob Kaplan-Moss (6) Jacob Kiers (19) jeff hammerbacher (93) Jesse Kanner (40) jey burrows (6) Jim Greer (50) Joe (50) John Willis (42) Jonathan Wallace (22) JonB (26) Jose Frechín (21) Josh Mize (83) KahWee (8) Kenneth (28) Kevin Day (2) kosmar (28) Lisa McMillan (42) LJ Kyser (18) Masakuni Kato (2) Matthew Schultz (9) Michael Hocter (21) mickek (25) Nico (36) Nicolai Kollner (37) Nicolas Lehuen (11) nicolas.boullosa (41) Nowell Strite (15) Ortelius (9) Ozgur Alaz (36) Paul (14) Pierre (25) PT (20) Rainer Wasserfuhr (44) Ramon Antonio Parada (31) Ray (23) rickmans (21) Ryan Christensen (32) Skabber (34) spidaman (36) Troy (8) zapnap (44)- Jonathan Wallace said: i love it when companies share this type of information.
