Everyone loves talking about Twitter’s business model — because there isn’t one yet, and they’ll keep talking about it until there is one. But it’s becoming more clear that while a business model is of course important, Twitter is perhaps the perfect example of a company that can afford to take its time in finding the one that is perfect for it. That’s because other businesses are building so much on top of the micro-messaging ...Shared by amartin (30) Aranittara (22) Ben Vierck (13) Bryant (31) Erica Fowler (13) Justin Yost (90) Liberate Media (7) Marshall (15) Robyn Miller (2) Ryan Jerz (20) Smo (27) tobias (27) Vishal Sood (23)Contribute comment -

This is the common basic mentality: in order for your computer to perform better, it needs to be upgraded - that means spending money to buy better components. While that may be true, it is not always the case. A computer, be it a Mac or Windows PC can always be maintained or overhauled for better performance for zilch dollars. All it takes is some time and tender loving care. I’ve recently adopted a DIY ...Shared by Alexandre Rocco (82) Andrew Acomb (41) Ben Burris (12) Cliff Cheney (13) D (63) itsoinky (48) j.lindsay (2) Joe (50) Jyuan (43) Karen McMillan (23) Lisa McMillan (42) Marshall (15) Mindy Koch (29) Pankaj (69) Roshan (122) Steve Rubel (46) thecolor (18) TiernanO (16) xabbott (20)Contribute comment -

That was the working title that the funsters at The Guardian gave me to write to. I drew up three key things that conservatives need to do in 2009 to defend capitalism:"1) We need to restore faith in the justice of market systems by punishing the bankers who broke the rules with at least as much vigour as we would pursue a benefit fraudster. As David Cameron has said: There cannot be one rule for ...Shared by Marshall (15)Contribute comment - Photo posted on Dec 29, 2008 at 23:49 (1)

UNDERFUNDED? MAYBE NOT. OVER-GENEROUS? Seems likely: “One Texas legislator who never made more than $7,200 annually as a legislator retired after 39 years of service with an annual pension of $92,704. Holiday Retail - High Income Exodus (1)
permalinkAs we examine the daily pattern of visits to our Retail 500 Index for the last three years we see that for most of the holiday season we trailed 2007 holiday traffic numbers, we consistently beat the 2006 holiday. However, that pattern changed for the days immediately after Christmas (is 12/26 the New Black Friday?) as 2008 matched the previous year and soundly beat 2006. The interesting stat, however, is that by leveraging the new ...Shared by Marshall (15)
