With the recession causing enough stress for all of us, the British Medical Journal decides to bust several common medical myths—for example, reading in dim light won't ruin your eyesight, so go nuts. Among the myths busted, BMJ notes that: Sugar does not cause hyperactivity in children. You don't lose excess body heat from your head. Video Games: The Evolution of the Console Controller (12)

It's not just some unfounded stereotype that video game controllers have gotten more complex over time, just look at this fantastic chronological illustration. The controllers are offered in proper scale with each set of hands sized identically. And we see, while controllers have gotten more complicated, they've also grown larger—though we look to have peaked back in the last generation (if you discount arsenal of peripherals you'll find in Rock Band or GHIV). Researchers Create Web Skeleton Key With 200 PS3s [PS3] (16)

Using a cluster of 200 PS3s, an international group of researchers have crafted a "skeleton key" digital certificate that can perfectly impersonate any website on the internet. The weak point that allows the technique to work—which researchers will be detailing at the 25th Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin—is the MD5 hash algorithm, which, basically, is what's used to create a fingerprint that makes it hard to forge digital certificates. Verisign's RapidSSL still uses the MD5 ...Shared by Aaron (18) crazybob (12) Dicky S (40) Edgars Nemše (39) Eduardo (21) fei (9) FVT or FVTer (20) Gareth (21) Gary (55) Harold (40) Jerome Velociter (32) JonMoss-theappleofmyi (133) Klemen Verdnik (23) mindspace (21) Pat (17) ryan (47)- ryan said: Oooo, the creepiness.

I never quite understood gaming laptops, what with them being heavy, bulky and priced exorbitantly. But hey, if you're going to do it, you might as well go all-out and design one with three screens. The Prime Gaming Laptop is a concept design by Kyle Cherry, and it's ridiculous. Yes, it's a 26-inch notebook. Since it's a concept, it's full of all sorts of magical features like all three screens being OLEDs and it folding ...Shared by AutomaticPixel (12) Chris W (41) Danr (78) darkeye11547 (228) FVT or FVTer (20) gruvsyco (45) Jason (96) Jeff Blaze (54) mindspace (21) monkeyleader (12) Richard (66) WindPower (49)Contribute comment -
