If you've ever wondered how the Internet was born, but can't be bothered reading a whole book on the subject, check out this short animated documentary from Milah Bilgil. Entitled History of the internet, it does a great job explaining time-sharing, file-sharing, arpanet and internet. The video uses a new type of info-graphic called PICOL icons, which will soon be made available for free on picol.org. That I like FriendFeed and so does Robert Scoble and so do a few thousand other Web-addicted Silicon Valley-centric people doesn't matter very much. That thousands more have signed up to the service and imported their data doesn't matter very much either. That the service has a ton of bells and whistles and some smart people behind it and manages to have some great uptime, compared to other services, also won't make it successful. - deeped said: jag gillar FF också men precis som påpekas ovan: mängden information är överväldigande. Och kräver massor av tid att filtrera även med de nya funktioner som FF skaffat. Själv skulle jag gärna se mycket av FF funktioner inbyggda i GReader eftersom SharedWithNotes är ungefär en tredjedel av nyttan hos FF och fördelen där är att det är en coversation piece.

Yesterday Wired posted an article titled 6 New Web Technologies of 2008 You Need to Use Now. One of those technologies listed is Lifestraming. Google confirms a Reader API is perhaps only a month away from a public release. Web technologist and blogger Niall Kennedy, recently posted on his site several details surrounding the previously undocumented Google Reader API. Although not official at this point, Kennedy has received confirmation from Google that his documentation about Google's online feed aggregator is, in fact, very accurate.
