From Serious Eats I know I just posted a photo of creative cupcakes, but I couldn't pass these up. Holly Klein of Unfurled made these adorable poodle cupcakes, which she named White Sandi Cupcakes after her childhood poodle, using marshmallows, cinnamon dots, chocolate chips, and black icing. This is a 4 day weekend for my boyfriend and I, so I roped him into helping me redo my staircase. I'm refacing the existing totally gross stairs with new wood treads and risers that I bought unfinished, and I'm painting them white. Smart me, I'm painting them BEFORE we attach them because OMG, what would I do with 6 cats and a wet staircase. So hopefully this week or next weekend I'll have a ...

From Required Eating The lord moves in mysterious ways, but how often is artificial cheddar powder involved? Virgin Mary toast was just the beginning of religious visions you can eat. Kelly Ramey of High Ridge, Missouri, was just crunching along when she spotted "Cheesus," the crucifixion-reminiscent single Cheeto she's now storing in a special box. "I looked at that and thought, oh, my, that looks like Jesus...it was just like wow!" She's not selling it ...

From Required Eating Photograph from rahims on Flickr This chocolate bar was so close to being the chocolate bar of my Internet meme dreams; it just needs a space between the "O" and the "RLY." If the word "ORLY" reminds you of an airport in Paris and not a snowy owl, then you are safely beyond the grasp of the Internet's attempt to destroy your brain. Not in this category: ytmnd's many ORLY chocolate homages ...

What's better than toast? Digital toast. Inseq Design's Zuse Toaster "prints" rad pixelated images onto your bread. Hungry yet? Inspired by a dot matrix printer (I can totally hear the errrrmp, beeeeeep noises!), the Zuse burns 12 by 12 pixel resolution so you could toast Space Invaders right onto your morning breakfast!

Hey girls, can't decide whether or not to wear that midriff-bearing shirt out to the bar tonight? No worries, simply don this Venetian blind T-shirt and yank on the fully functional string when Joe Hottie walks by. Sure it's ridiculous, but it's also one-of-its-kind, and available only at art museums for the time being. Just don't be too peeved when some drunk mistakes your shirt for an actual window and pukes all over your chest. ...

Here's a great product to ensure that you'll never be invited to somebody's backyard ever again—the “Easy Install Twist Chair.” Instead of having four legs like regular chairs, the Twist uses a corkscrew base that you plug into the ground and spin until it's solidly placed. Bring the chair along the next time you go to a garden party and see if your hosts appreciate you aerating their lawn. [Yanko Design]

This image was based on an illustration. Features, such as eyes, eyebrows, lips and cheekbones, were etched with individual body shapes. In the studio photographer Andreas Smetana recreated the illustration in parts by shooting groups of naked talent as separate pieces of the puzzle (suggesting individual family members are pieces of the family tree puzzle). Electric Art took these separate 'pieces of the puzzle' and put it back together to create this image of Cathy ...

And not just because of all the people sitting there using electricity and eating corn chips. 4,000 tons of nitrogen triflouride is used each year in the production of flat screen TVs and monitors. Michael Prathner of the Environment Institute of the University of California in Irvine claims that the stuff is 17,000 times as potent a greenhouse gas as carbon dioxide, and writes in Geophysical Research Letters that it has "a potential greenhouse impact ...
